The active constituent, Bimatoprost is a synthetic structural analog of prostaglandin. Bimatoprost is a schedule H drug and belongs to a category of drugs called ophthalmic glaucoma agents. This drug was approved for therapeutic use in the United States in 2001. The molecular formula for Bimatoprost is C25H37NO4 and the molecular weight is 415.566g/mol.
