Description
Ciprofloxacin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic and was introduced in 1987. Ciloxan eye drops helps to treat several bacterial infections such as respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, bone, and joint infections, etc. It acts by killing the bacteria that produce infection. For certain infections, it is used in combination with other antibiotics. C17H18FN3O3 is the molecular formula of Ciprofloxacin, while it has a molecular weight of 331.346 g/mol.

Working of Ciloxan:
The active constituent, Ciprofloxacin, present in Ciloxan Eye Drops is effective against several gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. This active constituent has 100 times more affinity towards bacterial DNA gyrase than mammalian DNA gyrase. It inhibits the enzymes DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV and thus prevents DNA replication. This results in bacterial death. This is how the infection is treated. The peak effect of the active constituent is seen within one to two hours, while its action lasts for a duration of 12 to 20 hours.
Dosages of Ciloxan:
- Use Ciloxan eye drops solution exactly as directed by your physician. Do not use it in smaller or greater amounts than advised by your physician.
- Wash your hands properly before and after using Ciloxan Eye Drops.
- Instill one drop in each of your eyes by directly holding the dropper over your eye.
- Use this drug product regularly for obtaining effective results.
- Use Ciloxan Eye drops almost the same time every day.
Precautions of Ciloxan:
- If you are using any other type of eye medicine, wait for at least five minutes before using other medications.
- Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to its active component or any other drugs of its class.

Warnings of Ciloxan:
