Description
Advantages of Megalis:
- Megalis contains tadalafil, which is an FDA-approved drug, so it is safe and effective for most men with impotence.
- One of the advantages of using Megalis over other ED drugs is the 36-hour efficacy, which is why it is called the “weekend” pill.
- Megalis causes a hard erection that can be sustained for a longer duration so men can make satisfactory love.
- Compared to its branded counterpart Cialis, Megalis is easily available online, that too at a much cheaper rate.
Working of Megalis:
Actively composed of tadalafil, Megalis works by boosting blood supply to the penile organ and it does so by temporarily negating the function of an enzyme called phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE5). When PDE-5 is blocked, the body stops the degradation of a chemical called cyclic Guanosine Monophosphate. When this happens, the body releases nitric oxide during sexual stimulation, eventually boosting the blood flow to the penile organ so that an erection can occur.
Dosages of Megalis:
- For men with ED, Megalis 10 mg should be taken an hour before sexual intercourse. If they fail to get an effect, they can take Megalis 20 mg.
- Use Megalis exactly as directed by your doctor. Do not increase the dose of your own volition; ask your doctor first.
- You may take this ED medicine with or without food. Swallow the whole pill with a glass of water. Do not break, chew, or crush the pill before consumption.
- When using Megalis for ED, your ability to have sexual activity could improve for up to 36 hours post-dosage, which is why it is called the weekend pill.
- Avoid grapefruits, alcohol, or illicit drugs while you take Megalis dose because they may hamper drug assimilation, making it ineffective.
Precautions of Megalis:
- Before taking Megalis, you must tell your doctor whether you are allergic to any PDE5-inhibitor, especially tadalafil.
- If you want to use Megalis for your ED problem, make sure you tell your doctor about your other medical conditions, if any, such as heart disease, liver disease, kidney dysfunction, or brain disorders.
- Before using Megalis, tell your doctor whether you are undergoing treatment with any drugs to prevent unwanted drug interactions.
- Typically, this generic ED medicine is not advised for pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers so they should stay away from consuming Megalis pills.
- Men taking nitrates for chest pain or alpha-blockers for hypertension should never use Megalis tablets. If used, they may suffer from severe hypotension (low blood pressure).
Side Effects of Megalis:
- Backache
- Nasal congestion
- Hot flashes
- Nausea
- Headache
- Dizziness
This is not the complete list of side effects of Megalis. One may experience other side effects as well, which may subside after some time. If you experience serious side effects like a prolonged erection, chest pain, breathlessness, or extreme dizziness, immediately seek medical attention.
Warnings of Megalis:
- Megalis works in your system for nearly 36 hours and it may cause dizziness so stay away from risky outdoor activities like driving or operating machinery.
- Keep Megalis tablets away from children, pets, women, and pregnant women. Store the pills at room temperature, away from direct heat or sunlight.
- Immediately visit your nearest ER if you experience a prolonged, painful erection, a condition called priapism. It is a medical emergency and should be treated immediately.
- Do not use Megalis 20 mg pills for recreational purposes. It is not a party drug. It must be used only by men above 18 who have been diagnosed with erectile dysfunction.
- Never mix the drug with alcohol or illegal drugs like marijuana. Doing so and consulting it may increase the risk of adverse effects.
