The active constituent, Avanafil was approved by the FDA in 2012 and by EMA in 2013. It is a PDE-5 inhibitor with a rapid onset of action of 15 minutes. Working of Stendra:

Avanafil, the active component of Stendra Generic inhibits the cGMP specific phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5), present in abundance inside the penile region. Penile erection is a result of sexual stimulation produced by improved blood flow to the penile organ due to the dilation of the blood vessels and relaxation of the smooth muscles. This reaction is facilitated by the release of nitric oxide (NO), which is responsible for triggering the synthesis of cGMP. cGMP dilates the blood vessels and relaxes the smooth muscles.

Dosages of Stendra

• Read all the instructions mentioned on the prescription leaflet carefully and take this medication exactly as directed by your physician.
• You can take this medication with or without meals at least 15 to 30 minutes before engaging in sexual activity, depending on your dose.
• This medication should be taken only once in a day, on-demand.
• Never take Stendra in more or less amount or more often than advised by your physician.
• Start with the lowest effective dose. The maximum dose of Stendra is 200mg once a day as needed.
